The fairy-tale palaces of the maharajas, intricate stone carvings of temples, fiery dances, and heroic poetry, incredible elephants, camels, turbans, and bright white smiles await you on a romantic journey through India.

 

Rajasthan - the second largest state in India, formed from eighteen feudal principalities known as Rajputana. Stretching from Mount Abu to the ruins of ancient Delhi, it is bounded by the Aravalli Hills and the Thar Desert. Rajasthan is famous for its vibrant cities such as Jaipur (Pink City), Jodhpur (Blue City), and Jaisalmer (Golden City), as well as its rich culture, including jewelry art and numerous historical landmarks.

PROGRAM

Day 1:
Delhi 

Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel for early check-in in Delhi, considered the first overnight stay.

On this day we begin an exciting acquaintance with the city. 

  • Akshardham Temple is the most majestic Hindu temple in the world, recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for its impressive scale, luxury and beauty, 

  • Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is the largest Sikh temple in Delhi, with an impressive main building made entirely of marble and decorated with golden domes,

  • Lakshmi Narayan Temple is one of the most sacred places of pilgrimage

  • the amazingly breathtaking Lotus Temple (Temple of All Religions),

  • Agrasen well from the 14th century

  • We will also visit the Dhobi Ghat laundry nearby and enjoy the unique experience of a traditional laundry.  

There will also be a sightseeing tour: the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Mosque, a walk through Old Delhi, the Thieves' Market, the Parliament Building, the India Gate and the Presidential Palace. 

If you wish, you can ride a rickshaw through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk, which is a truly unique experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the life of the locals.

Day 2: Delhi - Mandawa

After breakfast, we will head to the city of Mandawa. Shekhawati is a lesser-known tourist area in Rajasthan, famous for its colorful and traditional havelis, which were built by merchants and traders who settled here in the mid-19th century. Competing with each other, they adorned the walls of their palaces with colorful paintings. Almost everything is covered with drawings: walls, balconies, ceilings, arches, columns, and even the ground parts of wells. Numerous painted houses make this area the largest outdoor art gallery in India, and perhaps in the world: Shekhawati, Mandawa, Fatehpur, Ramgarh, Nawalgarh - you can wander through these streets and alleys for weeks. Day 3:
Mandawa - Bikaner

In the morning, we will wander through the enchanting streets of small towns in the Shekhawati region, and closer to lunchtime, we will head to Bikaner. On the way, we will definitely visit the world-famous Rat Temple, Karni Mata, located a few dozen kilometers from the city center in the small village of Deshnoke. There are indeed many rats here, but they are completely peaceful and not as repulsive as they may seem in photos.

Day 4:
Bikaner - Jaisalmer

In the morning, after breakfast, we will embark on a tour of the city of Bikaner, visiting Junagarh Fort. This fort is one of the main attractions of Bikaner and is a magnificent example of architecture. Inside the fort, you can see various halls, palaces, and temples reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. Junagarh Fort is also renowned for its decorations and unique design, attracting many tourists.

A visit to the Prachina Museum in Bikaner is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the history and culture of this region. It is housed in a building that is a true work of art with architectural details and decor. In the museum, you can see a variety of exhibits reflecting the rich heritage of Bikaner and its surroundings. Visiting this museum will allow you to delve into the history of this amazing region and learn more about its culture and traditions.

The Camel Museum in Bikaner is a unique attraction showcasing the importance of camels in the region. It is a place where visitors can learn about the significance of camels in the culture and economy of Rajasthan. The museum offers information about the history, breeding, and role of camels in this area. Additionally, it provides insight into traditional practices and the use of camels in everyday life, highlighting their importance in transportation, trade, and agriculture.

After lunch, we will proceed to Jaisalmer.

Day 5: Jaisalmer

In the morning, after breakfast, an exciting tour of Jaisalmer awaits, offering unique opportunities for travelers. The itinerary includes a visit to Jaisalmer Fort, a stroll through the narrow streets of the city with views of old yellow sandstone havelis. Additionally, you can enjoy camel safaris, dinners, and folk dances.

For shopping enthusiasts, the Sadar Bazaars will be of interest, offering a wide range of products, from souvenirs and handicrafts to jewelry and saris. Private tours of Jaisalmer will allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this amazing city, exploring its cultural heritage and beauty.

We will visit the Ancient Fort atop Trikuta Hill, founded by Rajput Maharaja Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD. Jaisalmer Fort is the only inhabited fort where around 3000 people still live. In the center of the fortress is the palace of the maharajas, transformed into a museum. Inside Jaisalmer Fort are 7 ancient Jain temples from the 15th and 16th centuries, such as Chandraprabhu Jain Temple. Both inside and out, the temples are adorned with intricate stone carvings. Sandstone, from which they are made, is very well suited to processing, and it seems that all these lace decorations are made of wood rather than stone.

We will visit the five-story Patwon-ki-Haveli, the largest and wealthiest mansion in Jaisalmer. It was built by members of the Jainist Patwa family, jewelers, opium traders, and cloth merchants.

We will visit Gadisar Lake in the desert on the outskirts of Jaisalmer - an artificial reservoir that was the main source of water supply in the Golden City for a long time. Around the lake are numerous Hindu temples, and cenotaphs in the form of chhatris protrude from the water.

In the evening, we will head to the Thar Desert to the sand dunes of Sam for a camel ride and to witness the sunset.

Day 6:
Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

In the morning, after breakfast, we will head to the city of Jodhpur.

Jodhpur is an ancient and beautiful city in India, the second largest in the state of Rajasthan. The city attracts tourists with its architecture, culture, and vibrancy. It is known for its winding medieval streets and the Mehrangarh Fort, which towers over the city. Jodhpur is also nicknamed the "Blue City" due to the multitude of houses painted blue. In the evening, you can take a stroll through the bazaars. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 7: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur

In the morning, after breakfast, we will embark on a fascinating tour of the city. We will visit Mehrangarh Fort, a magnificent structure located in the northwest part of the state of Rajasthan. Built in the 15th century, this fort impresses with its size and the beauty of its stone carvings. Also known as Mehrangarh Fort, it is one of the gems in India's collection of forts, existing for over 6 centuries.

Next, we will visit Jaswant Thada. This architectural monument in Jodhpur was built in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Jaswant Thada serves as a place of worship and a memorial, attracting tourists with its beauty and architecture.

Then we will arrive in the city of Ranakpur. This city is known for its temples, which are among the most magnificent in India. Ranakpur is also famous for its architectural masterpieces and beautiful lakes. Here, we will visit the Jain temple, immersing ourselves in its unique atmosphere.

Next, we will head to the city of Udaipur, considered one of the most romantic and beautiful tourist destinations in Rajasthan. Situated on the banks of Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar, Udaipur attracts with its architecture, numerous palaces, temples, and gardens, as well as breathtaking views of the Aravalli hills. Its beauty and tranquil atmosphere make it one of the most popular places to visit in India.

Day 8: Udaipur

After breakfast, we will embark on an exciting tour, starting with a visit to the City Palace in Udaipur, one of the significant landmarks of this city. This magnificent complex of buildings, palaces, and gardens reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region. The Udaipur City Palace combines elements of local architecture and historical styles.

Next, we will visit the Jagdish Temple, one of the main attractions of the city. This three-story temple, built in the 17th century, is dedicated to the god Vishnu. It is adorned with carved columns, ceilings, and painted walls, and its main shrine houses a statue of the black stone god Vishnu. The temple also contains four smaller temples dedicated to other deities.

Then we will visit Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, a popular garden in Udaipur, renowned for its stunning fountains and lush green lawns. Located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, this vast garden was laid out by Sangram Singh in the 18th century for the palace women.

During the day, we will also enjoy boat rides on the lake in Udaipur, especially romantic at sunset. Boatmen are usually available near the walls of the City Palace to rent boats, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of the lake and surrounding landscapes, creating a unique and memorable experience.

Day 9: Udaipur - Pushkar

After breakfast, we will head to the city of Pushkar, located in the Ajmer district of the state of Rajasthan, India. It is a sacred place for Hindus and Sikhs, renowned for its temples, including the famous Brahma Temple with its red spires. Pushkar is also known for its lake, where pilgrims bathe, and its annual fair, which attracts around 200,000 people.

The name "Pushkar" comes from the Sanskrit word "pushkara," which means "blue lotus." We will visit the Brahma Temple and the lake.

Day 10: Pushkar - Jaipur

After breakfast, we will head to Jaipur. In Jaipur, we will visit the Jal Mahal - the magnificent palace situated in the middle of a lake. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner with traditional dances of the Rajasthan state.

Day 11: Jaipur

After breakfast, we will embark on a tour of Jaipur, starting with the Amber Fort, magnificently situated on a hill. You can choose to ascend on elephants or in jeeps to experience the grandeur of this historical site. Then we will visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), where every breeze is imbued with history, and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the City Palace, the residence of generations of Maharajas with a rich history. We will also visit Gaitor, the place where members of the royal family are cremated after death, revealing the secrets of the carvings on the cenotaphs. In the evening, we will visit the Lakshmi-Narayan Temple. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 12: Jaipur - Delhi

Transfer to the airport or hotel in Delhi.

Travel will be as comfortable as luxury hotels, with transfers in comfortable air-conditioned vehicles. Depending on the size of the group, sedans, minivans, minibuses or buses are used, including Volvo buses for larger groups.
