PROGRAM

Day 1: Delhi

Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel for early check-in in Delhi, considered the first overnight stay.

On this day we begin an exciting acquaintance with the city. 

  • Akshardham Temple is the most majestic Hindu temple in the world, recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for its impressive scale, luxury and beauty, 

  • Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is the largest Sikh temple in Delhi, with an impressive main building made entirely of marble and decorated with golden domes,

  • Lakshmi Narayan Temple is one of the most sacred places of pilgrimage

  • the amazingly breathtaking Lotus Temple (Temple of All Religions),

  • Agrasen well from the 14th century

  • We will also visit the Dhobi Ghat laundry nearby and enjoy the unique experience of a traditional laundry.  

There will also be a sightseeing tour: the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Mosque, a walk through Old Delhi, the Thieves' Market, the Parliament Building, the India Gate and the Presidential Palace. 

If you wish, you can ride a rickshaw through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk, which is a truly unique experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the life of the locals.

Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh

After breakfast we will go to Rishikesh, and on the way we will stop at the city of Haridwar. 

Haridwar is one of the main holy cities of India, located in the north at the foot of the Himalayas right on the banks of the Ganges River. The city is famous for its religious and cultural monuments and the annual Kumbh Mela festival, which attracts many pilgrims. 

In Haridwar we will visit 

  • Chandi Devi Temple is one of the oldest and most revered temples in Haridwar, dedicated to Goddess Chandra Devi,

  • Mansa Devi Temple is another popular temple in Haridwar dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi.

  • Har Ki Pauri is the most famous and popular place for the Ganga Aarti ceremony, which takes place every evening. 

Transfer and overnight in Rishikesh. 

Day 3: Rishikesh

After breakfast, a walk around the city of Rishikesh, we will visit:

  • Lakshmana Jhula and Rama Jhula are two famous suspension bridges in the city of Rishikesh. Lakshmana Jhula was built in 1929 and named after Lakshmana, the younger brother of Rama from the Hindu epic Ramayana. According to legend, Lakshmana Jhula stands on the spot where Lakshmana, Rama's brother, crossed the Ganga River on a rope. Rama Jhula is also named after Rama, the main character of the Ramayana. Both the bridges are popular tourist attractions and offer beautiful views of the surrounding area and the Ganga River.

  • Vasishtha Cave - This cave is the place where sage Vasishtha and his wife Arundhati spent time inside the cave. Vasishtha maintains optimal climate and oxygen levels, making it an ideal place for meditation. 

  • Maharishi Ashram - became known as the "Beatles Ashram" after The Beatles visited it in 1968. They stayed there for about two months, studying transcendental meditation. 

  • Fire Puja or (Arti) on the Ganga River is a ritual ceremony that takes place every evening at one of the ghats (piers) in Rishikesh. This ritual of offering to the gods on the banks of the Ganges is exotic and picturesque.

Day 4: Rishikesh - Shimla

After Breakfast we will head to Shimla. Shimla is a city in India that was the summer capital of British India during colonial times. It is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh and is famous for its hilly streets, colonial architecture and beautiful mountain views.

Day 5: Shimla

After breakfast we will go on a tour of Shimla. We will visit the Jahu Temple, a popular Hanuman temple located on a high hill, the Christ Church - a historical church, and also The Mall road - an evening walk along a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. 

Overnight in Shimla.

Day 6: Shimla - Naggar

After breakfast we will head to the city of Naggar. Naggar is a small settlement located 300 meters up the mountains from the river. Naggar hosts traditional religious ceremonies that attract many tourists. The name of the town can be translated as “the habitat of the Sacred Serpent - Naga.” 

Overnight in Naggar.

Day 7: Naggar - Manali - Naggar

After breakfast, we will stroll through Naggar and visit Naggar Castle - the former capital of the Kullu Rajas and the residence of the Roerichs. The Roerich Art Gallery in Naggar includes the old Roerich family estate, galleries of paintings by the senior and junior Roerichs, the Himalayan Culture Museum of Urusvati, the museum of Svyatoslav Roerich and his wife Devika Rani, and the Krishna Temple dedicated to the deity Krishna, as well as the Tripurasundari Temple dedicated to the goddess Tripurasundari.

After lunch, we will head to the city of Manali, where we will visit the Hidimba Devi Temple, also known as Hidimba Devi. This ancient historical structure, dedicated to the goddess Hidimba, was built in 1553.

Take a stroll down The Mall Road, where you can indulge in shopping.

Overnight stay in Naggar.

Day 8: Naggar - Dharamshala

After breakfast, we will head to Dharamshala - a small town in northern India located in the Himalayas at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. The name itself translates to 'spiritual abode.' The town is home to the Dalai Lama's residence.

A 240 km journey with a stop at the Bhagsu waterfall, which is 20 meters high with cascades leading to the Shiva temple. Upon arrival, a city walk awaits, including a visit to the stone church of St. John. We will also stroll through the vibrant McLeod Ganj market.

Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 9: Dharamshala - Amritsar

After breakfast, we will visit the majestic Tibetan monasteries. The most popular monastery is Gyuto, as it houses the residence of the Dalai Lama.

We will then travel to Amritsar - the sacred city of the Sikhs, located near the India-Pakistan border. Founded by the fourth Guru Ram Das, this city attracts millions of tourists with its famous Golden Temple and is also known for its Immortal Lake. In the evening, witness the solemn ceremony of closing the state border between India and Pakistan, performed every evening since 1947. This ceremony takes place at Wagah, and its purpose is to lower the national flag and officially close the state border. Enjoy an evening stroll through the city and see the Golden Temple illuminated at night.

Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 10: Amritsar - Delhi

After breakfast, we will visit the main shrine, Harmandir Sahib, or the Golden Temple – the social center of Sikh life. Nearby is Jallianwala Bagh, a historic garden and a 'national importance' memorial.

Transfer to Amritsar airport and arrival in Delhi.

Travel will be as comfortable as luxury hotels, with transfers in comfortable air-conditioned vehicles. Depending on the size of the group, sedans, minivans, minibuses or buses are used, including Volvo buses for larger groups.
